We advise every patient to allow up to a maximum of 45 mins for their medical review for an outpatient clinic.
Here is what to expect from a timeline perspective at your appointment:
Registration: 5-10 minutes
Doctor assessment and treatment plan: 15 to 30 minutes
Dressing and suture removal: 15 mins
Checkout: 5-10 minutes
At the time of your initial visit to clinic, you should arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time, unless you have been given instructions to arrive earlier. Please check in with our receptionist upon your arrival.
Please bring the New Patient Information sheet you received via email with you if you have not uploaded it onto your patient portal electronically. This form will obtain essential information about you. Information concerning your age, occupation, smoking status etc is also important because it has a bearing upon your health and physical status. Please be assured that all information is confidential, and no part of your record will be disclosed without your written consent.
When your appointment time arrives, you will be called to the examination room. You will be asked about your medical history. You will need a list of all the medication you are taking at present. If you are using eye medicines, please bring the bottles with you. This information is important to the doctor who examines you.
We would appreciate your calling at least 24 hours in advance and if you must cancel your appointment or a “no-show” fee could be applied.
We offer private hospital prescriptions to be dispensed via the pharmacy at Nuffield Hospital and Spire Hospitals or via instruction to your GP. Most often you would be able to purchase over the counter medications outside the hospital if need be.
